A place of your own within a larger room. Flat-Pack Pod explores the intimacy of a small enclosure for reading, focused work or a moment apart.
The freestanding design uses the idea of flat-pack construction to bring a personal space into an existing interior. Its scale creates a different relationship with the surrounding room, offering a sense of retreat while remaining part of a shared setting.
Developed as a design study, the pod offers a starting point for bespoke interventions in hospitality, workplaces and learning environments. A commission would shape its materials, proportions and details around the experience a particular place needs.
