WILD FUTURES PAVILION: An Urban Pollinator Node
Project type
Ecological pavilion
Date
May, 2024
Location
Sydney, NSW
A small encounter with a living city. Wild Futures Pavilion brings people, flowering plants and pollinators into the same sculptural landscape.
Prefabricated plywood modules combine planters and nesting spaces in an open, textured form. The proposal introduces places to observe and learn from the life of a garden within civic spaces, campuses and cultural settings.
Its presence is both a gathering point and an invitation to pay closer attention. The modular design explores how habitat can become part of a place’s identity, with planting and seasonal change contributing to an experience that continues beyond the moment of installation.
