A medium-density residential system designed for evolving family structures through a vertically interlocking arrangement of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
The project explores how compact urban housing can achieve greater spatial quality, passive environmental performance, and adaptable density through sectional organization rather than increased building footprint.
By vertically interlocking residential units, the system creates double-height living spaces and a series of integrated vertical voids that operate as chimney-effect ventilation shafts, promoting natural cross ventilation, daylight penetration, and improved thermal performance throughout the building.
Rather than relying on mechanically intensive environmental systems, the project integrates passive climatic strategies directly into the spatial organization of the housing framework.
The residential system is conceived as a scalable prefabricated typology capable of supporting starter families, multi-generational living arrangements, and medium-density urban development while maintaining a strong relationship between spatial openness, environmental performance, and residential density.
The project combines prefabricated construction principles with integrated planted surfaces to create a distinct architectural identity suited for future climate-responsive urban housing.
