VENT HOUSE: A Place for Micro-Production

A home shaped by the movement of air. Vent House explores how the working elements of a building can become its spatial character.

The design draws on Seoul’s productive neighbourhoods, where ducts and vents allow everyday buildings to accommodate workshops and small factories. Here, those familiar components are reconsidered as elements that could organise, enclose and support a place to live and make.

This ongoing design study brings domestic life and small-scale production into the same setting. Its interest lies in giving useful systems a tactile, expressive presence—and in creating a home with room for more than one way of living.
